Greetings Hillwood PC members and friends!

I hope this finds you well – despite all that’s taking place in our communities and country!

As of yesterday, 18 March 2020; the session of the church decided to aid in maintaining community health by continuing to keep the facility and playground closed to everyone until Monday, 6 April.  We are doing all we can to continue to minister in modified ways during these weeks, to reach out to one another, and to assist the most vulnerable among us.  If you have any needs for things like groceries or other necessary household supplies, please stay in and call the church office to leave a message (which will get to me thanks to modern technology).  We have members who have volunteered to assist with such needs.  We also have a few members finding modified ways to continue in our connection and ministry with our community partners.  If you are bored at home, contact me about ways you could do things like send cards to those homebound or make pictures or notes of thanks to those working to feed our community through Trader Joe’s Belle Meade, H.G. Hill Middle School, and New Covenant Christian Church where tornado relief in North Nashville safely is responding to neighbors affected by the tornadoes.

Know that the session of the church is asking us all to follow the recommended protocol of the CDC to maintain the health of the entire community by limiting or eliminating the impact of the coronavirus.  We will not be having any in-person gatherings during these weeks, though we will meet using different methods of technology for regularly scheduled meetings, for book club, and for worship.  By next week, we also plan to offer (for those interested) a mid-week connection via zoom to be able to check in, share prayer concerns, and encourage each other.  Information for that offering will be sent via MailChimp next week (let me know now if you’d like to participate).  Also, for any interested, we can make a way to include you in a conference call – especially to experience worship in that way through 6 April (at least).  Please contact the church office 615-352-6310 and leave a message in box 12 or contact me directly on my cell phone if you would like to be a part of worship or other meetings via a conference call.  If you have a way to get to our website at www.hillwoodpc.org, we encourage you to go there on Sundays or during the week to be a part of the worship experience posted there by Sunday morning each week.  The link for Sunday worship also will be sent via MailChimp every Sunday morning.

We Welcome All

We would love to have you join us for Worship or any of our other ministries.  If you are looking for a church home that provides a loving fellowship, along with opportunities to grow in the faith and renew the local community while serving others, then Hillwood Presbyterian Church just might be the place for you!  Contact us directly with any questions or join us soon for worship!

We exist to Serve God by Serving Others as we Renew Community together.   We are a congregation of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) with historic roots in the Reformed Theological Family of Faith which is a part of the Protestant Reformation.  As a theologically diverse congregation, we focus on our common love for following the Way of Christ while learning from one another’s varying perspectives.
