Souper Bowl of Caring
On Sunday, February 9, we have the opportunity to give to an annual special offering to alleviate hunger! Any special offerings given for Souper Bowl of Caring will go to Hillwood Presbyterian Church’s local food mission ministry — primarily for feeding families of the Hill Cluster of Schools as HPC has been doing regularly these past two years through the onsite Hill Pantry Annex. This national special offering was inspired by a concerned youth group back in the 1990s when they saw the immense expense around the nation that was put into one football game. They challenged their own congregation, (and the message continued to spread): to give generously on Super Bowl Sunday so that those who do not have enough in our nation each day will find themselves well-fed! Out of our abundance, we faithfully give! Checks can be made to Hillwood Presbyterian Church with the memo line: Food Mission Ministry, money can be given in person in worship on Sunday, and this special offering can be received by clicking HERE and choosing the category: Food Mission Ministry-Souper Bowl of Caring. Every donation helps feed local students and families who experience food insecurity daily. Thank you so much for your generous gifts!!!
