Children and Youth Ministries

All the generations matter for HPC! And as HPC; all the generations are a part of being the church, the body of Christ for the world today! Here are ways children and youth of all ages can grow spiritually in HPC’s ministries – Connecting, Renewing, and Serving!

Connecting with God through Worship – in person and livestream worship experiences welcome children of all ages! A Time for Children during worship is an important time in which Pastor Jule shares the Christian faith through ways children might find relatable.

Renewing in faith – Pastor Jule cultivates relationships of care and nurture with the children and youth of HPC. Through calls, texts, prayers, conversations, and involvement in their lives; this pastoral ministry guides our youngest generations in growing in their love for God and neighbor.

As creativity is a key part of HPC’s ministry with all ages, children and teens have been a driving force in the creation of HPC’s Art Room for Creativity and Connection and the Ding Ding Music & Art program. ALL ages truly can grow together through the inter-generational medium of art. Creating alongside one another, relationships are built; God is experienced. All ages renew together!

Serving God by Serving Others – children and teens of HPC have been a vital part in connecting the entire congregation with the elder generation of HPC. CH&URC@H (Children, Homebound, & yoUth, Renewing Community @ Hillwood) is a quarterly ministry on a Sunday afternoon to visit home-bound and isolated individuals of the community.
